Website design
A loc platform, overhauled around shopping, booking and training
Naija Locs handles every dreadlock service, from starter locs to extensions. We overhauled the whole platform: a storefront with product search, client accounts, appointments, order tracking and training, under a lighter, photo-led design.
Before
The old hero: a dark, text-heavy pitch leading to one consultation button.
After
The new hero: search, accounts, cart, appointments and order tracking up top.
The client
Naija Locs is a Nigerian loc brand covering every dreadlock service: starter locs, maintenance, loc repair, treatments, colouring and loc extensions. Each service is personalised, with the aim of healthy, growing locs that look good enough for any workplace. It also sells products and runs trainings.
What the site had to do
- A way to buy without booking a call first
- Appointments and orders a client can check for themselves
- Space for products, services and training under one roof
- Enough reassurance to pay for hair online
What we built
1
A storefront at the front door. The old homepage led with a single call to book a consultation. The overhauled platform opens on product search with categories, a wishlist and a cart, so a visitor can start shopping straight away.
2
Appointments and orders the client manages. Services sit alongside products, and a signed-in client can see their appointments and track their orders without sending a message to ask.
3
Training given its own place. Trainings have their own section in the menu, so the teaching side of the business can be found rather than mentioned in passing.
4
Reassurance where the decision is made. Secure payment and a help centre that commits to a reply within 24 hours sit on the homepage, where a first-time buyer is deciding.
5
A design that looks like the work. A light, photo-led layout in the brand’s own orange, in place of a dark, text-heavy hero.
What the site does now
- Sets out every loc service, from starter locs to colouring
- Sells its products online
- Lets clients sign in, book and see their appointments
- Tracks orders after purchase
- Offers training alongside the services
- Shows secure payment and a 24-hour help centre on the homepage
